Please be advised that effective September 29, 2022, the Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Claims Handling Standards will be amended. Rule 0800-02-14-.04 of the TNBWC Claims Handling Standards currently requires adjusting entities that elect to terminate benefits after benefits have been paid on a claim to submit and MTC SROI 04 for a full denial of all further indemnity and medical benefits or a SROI MTC PD for denial of a specific indemnity or medical benefit via EDI within five (5) calendar days of the due date of the first omitted payment. Effective September 29, 2022, the time period within which the appropriate SROI MTC must be submitted under these conditions is increased from five (5) to fifteen (15) calendar days of the due date of the first omitted payment. If you have any questions about the above, please contact the TNBWC EDI Support Team.
