Statutory Update: W. Va. 'Modernizes' Law, Removes Obsolete Provisions

Charleston, WV (WorkersCompensation.com) -- West Virginia recently updated its workers' compensation law to:
- Modernize and update workers’ compensation statutes.
- Remove or revise provisions made obsolete by legislation and regulatory revisions in 2005 and 2006.
- Standardize references to public offices or agencies.
- Update statutory citations.
- Make spelling and grammatical changes throughout.
The changes went into effect June 8.
