MedRisk Presents a Free Webinar on Accelerating Return to Work

King of Prussia, PA (WorkersCompensation.com) - Anne Marciniak, PT, DPT, Team Lead of Clinical Services for MedRisk will answer the puzzling question, “What IS the difference between work hardening and work conditioning?” during a webinar on Tuesday, March 22. “Faster Return to Work – Advanced Work Rehab” will start at 1 p.m.

Attendees will learn how an advanced work rehabilitation program facilitates and accelerates return to work, when to request a functional capacity evaluation, and when to deploy work hardening or work conditioning programs.

During the past 10 years, research has driven a change in the timeline for when to address delayed return to work. “The old benchmark was six to 12 months,” Marciniak said. “New findings point to a window of four weeks to four months, and some data indicate that a disability mindset can set in within one month.”

Sponsored by ProCare, Allied Universal, and MedRisk, the webinar makes continuing education credits available for nurses and nurse case managers and for adjusters in several states. Please click here for details and to register for the free webinar.
