Man With Three Jobs Pleads Guilty To Workers Compensation Fraud And Pays Over $4k In Restitution

                               

Columbus,OH(WorkersCompensation.com) - On Sept. 26, 2022, Kerby Harrison pleaded guilty to one count of workers’ compensation fraud, a fifth-degree felony, and was ordered to pay $4,462.02 in restitution.

BWC’s Special Investigations Department (SID) opened an investigation into Harrison after their Intelligence Unit identified he potentially concealed his work activity from BWC. SID found he maintained employment with three different employers while simultaneously collecting BWC disability benefits for nearly two and a half years.

Harrison pleaded guilty to one count of workers’ compensation fraud on Sept. 26. Harrison was sentenced to pay restitution in the amount of $4,462.02 to the BWC. Harrison was also ordered to five years of community control and 12 months prison if community control is violated.
