Kids’ Chance of California Announces 2022 Board Members

                               

Soquel, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - Kids’ Chance of California (KCOCA), the eminent non-profit education scholarship provider to the children of California workers that have been fatally or seriously injured on the job, announced today its elected Board of Directors for the 2022/2023 term:

  • President – Kristen Chavez (Gallagher Bassett)
  • President Elect – Bryon Bass (Sedgwick)
  • Treasurer – Lynda Stettler (Argus West Investigations)
  • Secretary – Lisa Paroly (RehabWest, Inc.)
  • Immediate Past President – Amy Hanson (Keenan)
  • Vice President Scholarship –Seth Frohman (Paradigm)
  • Vice President Sponsorship – Jennifer McCaw (Siegel, Moreno & Stettler)
  • Director-at-Large – Michael Rydman (Carisk Partners)
  • Director-at-Large – Christel Schoenfelder (Rose, Klein & Marias LLP)

KCOCA extends its thanks to Amy Hanson, who served as President for 2020/2021 term.  Under her leadership, KCOCA awarded 94 individual scholarships totaling just over $515,000. Since its inception in 2012, KCOCA has awarded $1,000,000 in scholarships, through the 2021/22 academic school year, paid directly to students. Amy Hanson will continue to serve as the Immediate Past President and Chair of the KCOCA Advisory Council.

KCOCA has defined a new goal of awarding $2,000,000 by 2025 to students throughout the state of California.

“I am honored and excited to be entrusted to serve as KCOCA’s President for the 2022/2023 term,” stated Kristen Chavez. “My predecessors have built a strong foundation for KCOCA that continues to push the organization forward and upward as we endeavor to increase the number of students to award scholarships to and the dollar amount of the scholarships awarded. I’m grateful to have the support of a Board that is as capable as it is caring. We are up for the challenge!”
