Joe Paduda Explores Electronic Payments in Workers’ Comp During March 18 Webinar

Plainfield, NH (WorkersCompensation.com) - Although widely adopted by other healthcare payers, electronic payments have yet to be fully embraced by workers’ compensation. Health Strategy Associates Principal Joe Paduda will share reasons for this along with other findings from his firm’s e-payment survey during the E-Payments and Workers’ Comp: The Industry’s Move to Electronic Payments webinar on March 18, starting at 1 p.m. Eastern and 10 a.m. Pacific.

He and Bill Barbato, the general manager and vice president of B2B Payment Solutions at Change Healthcare, will share how electronic payments reduce payers’ administrative workload and expenses and improve provider satisfaction.

The webinar will cover:

  • How payers are streamlining payment processes
  • The impact of e-payments on administrative expenses
  • Processes used by workers’ comp payers to assess the potential impact of e-payments on costs and margin

“Changes in the fraud landscape are expediting the need for more secure payment types in workers’ comp,” Paduda said. “As payers struggle with increasing administrative costs and declining margins, they should consider how e-payments can reduce their administrative workload and expenses and improve provider satisfaction.”

Hosted by WorkCompCentral.com, the webinar offers one California claims credit available for adjusters and one California Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit for California attorneys. For more information and to register:  https://ww3.workcompcentral.com/education/course/course_pk/1362
