State of the Economy and Impact on Workers Compensation is just one of the sessions that the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) will feature at its Annual Insights Symposium (AIS) 2024, May 13–15 in Orlando, FL. NCCI Senior Economist Stephen Cooper will present an in-depth perspective on recent economic developments and their impact on workers comp.
"The changing workforce and evolving economy continue to be top of mind for workers compensation executives," said Cooper, who also authors a monthly overview of key labor market statistics. "There's a lot of economic commentary out there, but none that ties directly to workers compensation until now. We will deliver economic insights through a workers compensation lens and possible impacts to premium, frequency, and severity."
A key highlight of AIS includes NCCI's State of the Line Report, an exclusive review of the workers compensation system. Additional AIS 2024 topics include a detailed look at medical cost trends, a review of the industry's AI evolution, and a panel discussion on workplace safety technology. An industry drill down and a session on challenges for workers including the critical topics of physical space, mental health, and environmental impacts will round out the main program.
AIS is the industry's premier conference that combines unmatched workers compensation expertise with one-of-a-kind networking opportunities. The industry's most respected thought leaders will provide exclusive workers compensation insights for executives, regulators, and industry partners to support informed decision making.
