Sacremento,CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) today announced that it will offer online workshops for injured workers beginning October 7. A Spanish-language workshop will take place on October 21. By offering access beyond the physical locations of its 23 district offices and satellites, the online workshops will expand DWC’s mission to assist California’s injured workers.
These free, one-hour workshops will cover topics including:
- Injured workers’ right to medical treatment
- Disability payments
- Returning to work after an injury
- Resolving disagreements about claims
The workshops consist of a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. The online workshop is designed to give a general understanding of the workers’ compensation system and is geared to injured workers that have recently filed a workers' compensation claim with their employer. However, any injured worker can benefit from attending, and all are welcome.
Additional information on how to attend this online presentation and future dates for monthly injured worker workshops can be found on the DWC website.
