ATF Medical Promotes Karissa Watson to Director, Adaptive Housing Solutions

Newnan, GA (March 27, 2024) – ATF Medical has promoted Karissa Watson to the newly created position of Director of Adaptive Housing Solutions.

In this role, Watson manages the company’s adaptive housing coordinators, and she and these coordinators identify and oversee contractors so that projects come in on time and within budget. They also work closely with occupational therapists, and Assistive Technology Professionals and other specialists to design and implement appropriate home modifications.

“This collaboration enables us to produce a comprehensive, integrated adapted housing solution that supports all the equipment and is appropriate for the injured worker’s condition and lifestyle,” Watson said.

Home modifications are inherently challenging and Waston appreciates the company’s technology and strong commitment to communication. “We include injured workers and their caretakers in the process and keep them informed every step of the way,” she said. “We also regularly update case managers, third-party administrators, and carriers so no one needs to wonder about the status of the project.”

Watson, who joined ATF Medical in 2019 as a Senior Coordinator of Adaptive Housing Solutions, has continued her education in the field, earning the Certified Environmental Access Consultant (C.E.A.C.) and the Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) certifications.
