Introducing Workers’ Comp Collaborative: Here’s How We Can Bridge the Gaps Together
17 Feb, 2025 Lainey Haynes

Workers' Comp Collaborative
Workers’ compensation should be a bridge to recovery—not a battleground of delays, confusion, and misaligned incentives. So why does it often feel like the latter? Despite the best intentions of employers, adjusters, attorneys, and medical providers, the system remains complex, inefficient, and costly. It’s time to foster collaboration and drive meaningful change.
Why This Blog? Why Now?
After years of managing claims across multiple jurisdictions, I’ve seen firsthand how the workers’ compensation system can either facilitate recovery or create unnecessary roadblocks. As a workers' compensation liaison working on the employer-side, I work at the intersection of all key stakeholders—bridging the gap between injured workers, employers, insurers, medical providers and legal teams. Too often, communication breakdowns and rigid processes result in poor outcomes for both workers and employers.
I believe we can do better. We must rethink how we approach claims management, return-to-work strategies, and collaboration across all parties involved. This blog is my contribution to that effort—a space where I leverage my experience as a workers’ compensation leader, connector and collaborator to challenge outdated norms, foster collaboration among key stakeholders, and drive innovative solutions that improve claim outcomes and cost management.
