Case Management Focus
If you are a manager, director, or VP of a case management department, I am sure you have noticed that the workforce has changed since you did hands-on case management work. Our jobs are harder as new generations enter the case management workforce.
Recently, I read a quote from the Harvard Business Review on the impact of this duty on multigenerational workers. "Giving each generation — and, importantly, each individual — the opportunity to be seen, understood, valued, and leveraged in the workplace throughout their career is essential for personal, social, and even societal well-being.
Today, multiple generations work together. Balancing each generation's needs is important so your teams are engaged, work together, and are satisfied with their work.
I in this article, I have included the current generations. Keep in mind that a new generation is added every 10 years. Click the link to read about each generation. This will help you know what is important to them. Once you know this, you can structure policies, orientation programs, and evaluations to see how you are meeting their needs.
Baby Boomers: Those born from 1946-1964. In 2024, baby boomers celebrate birthdays between the ages of 60 and 78. They are just below the silent generation, born between 1928 and 1945, between 79 and 96 years old.
