Kids’ Chance of Florida Announces the Appointment of 2024 Executive Board Members

                               

Tampa, January 29, 2024: Kids’ Chance of Florida (KCFL) welcomes the appointment of the 2024 Executive Board of Directors. The new board will continue to develop and manage the charity as well as execute new strategic vision and leadership.

Executive Board Members-

  • President- Kimberly Staats, Strategy & Risk Management Director, NCCI
  • Vice President- Tammy Boyd, Chief Revenue Officer, Lakeside Neurologic
  • Treasurer- David Cruz, Director of Client Reporting, Paradigm
  • Secretary- David Langham, Deputy Chief Judge, State of Florida

KCFL is proud to announce our new president, Kimberly Staats, Strategy and Risk Management Director at the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI). Staats has been with NCCI for 16 years and has served on the KCFL Board since 2019, providing impactful financial oversight and leadership.

My priority as KCFL President is to ensure continued fulfillment of our promise of providing opportunities and resources to families, making a significant difference in the lives of all children affected by a workplace injury” said KCFL president, Kimberly Staats. “We hope to reach even more kids by building on the momentum of Kids’ Chance of America’s ‘Planning for the Future Initiative’ which has been a critical part of our student pipeline. Our highly engaged Board includes several new members who will bring fresh energy to our efforts. I look forward to the new and innovative ways in which we can help more families achieve their educational goals.”

About Kids’ Chance of Florida

Founded in 2015, KCFL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, one of 50 state-level nonprofit organizations that provide scholarships and support the kids of workers who have been severely injured on the job. Governed by an all-volunteer board, it raises funds for scholarships through donations and fundraisers. In the workers’ compensation community. Kids’ Chance of Florida believes that we can make a significant difference in the lives of all children affected by a workplace injury by helping them pursue and achieve their educational goals. To date, KCFL has awarded 71 scholarships totaling $300,000 and has a graduation rate of 100%. One of our newest Board members is one of those scholarship recipients and graduate!
