Sarasota, FL (WorkersCompensation.com) -- For regular readers of WorkersCompensation.com, the Experts View page has often been irregular -- we publish ad hoc columns by guest authors as they contribute them. While we have some regulars, most don't come in on a set schedule.
That's perfectly fine! We here on the "EV" page prefer quality over quantity, but nonetheless, we appreciate those contributors who commit to specific deadlines -- and we now have a new one!
So, without further adiue, please welcome to the Experts View lineup, Alaska's own Sandra Sayer, RN, a writer, thinker, and influencer in her own right.
Sandra brings more than 26 years of expertise in Workers’ Compensation in a variety of settings and an additional seven years of case management/discharge planning to a prominent hospital in Anchorage. Her professional background includes two successful startup programs in workers’ compensation for a major healthcare company in Nashville and the largest orthopedic group in the state of Tennessee. As an RN, Case Manager in Workers’ Compensation, Sandra acquired an in-depth knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations across the United States.
After earning an Associates Degree in Nursing at Sinclair Community college, Sandra returned to college for a Bachelor of English degree (with a writing concentration) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As an RN, she cared for patients on medical, surgical settings, and in the operating room as an operating room nurse in neurosurgery, orthopedics, and the total joint replacement teams.
A recent transition to her own company, Solutions, LLC RN freelance writing provides her the opportunity to share her nursing knowledge to help healthcare consumers and providers make an informed decision regarding their specific healthcare needs. Time in Ohio, Tennessee, and Alaska has given Sandra the insider knowledge of the healthcare system and provides rare experiences living in the Last Frontier.
So when can you expect to start reading Sandra's columns? Her first entry will run Thursday on this page.
