AME finally done in Cali
Trying to understand better and thanks in advance.

I had LB injury from work 12/12/06. AME rates 8% Whole person impairment for lumber spine. 5% whole person impairment for erectile dysfunction. Also stated I could not be returned back to this type of work. What should I expect as a fair settlement if anyone can figure this out. Also I lawyered up because they have lawyers. if you need more info let me know. Thank you all so much i have enjoyed all post and reply over the last year. Also I am now 30.

unknown.
ratings are complex and unique.
are you going to C&R or stip?
the disability evaluation unit will combine the ratings; take your age, occupation, and the Future earning capacity factor and calculate a disability rating.
they will also factor in any apportionment.
the disability rating then has to be converted into weeks by using your date of injury and modified work offer.
then a weekly rate has to be computed.
the weeks and the rate are then multiplied to determine the PPd benefit.
you can find out more about the process here

everyone's medical treatment needs are different and makes a settlement value even more difficult to determine without specialized knowledge of your situation.
your atty is in the best position to come up with an amount & negotiate a reasonable buyout of your claim.
