rsd
hello, everyone i havent posted in a long time--just been trying to heal and truthfully havent felt like talking to anyone. I injured myself at work in 2007 both legs. I had been injured years before and had gotten rsd as a result. it was under control enough after 5 years for me to return to work. after this last accident it has become far worse and the outlook to ever work again is slim. w/c paid me for a 1 1/2years and as so many others quit when their ime said my lasting injuries(rsd) was not work related to the injury. in oct last year i had a trial and won on all 3 aspects required for the state of ill. they have now appealed. my attorney and i are waiting to see what issues they are appealing and are for sure the rsd will come into play. has anyone else ever had rsd in the past and had a accident that caused it to become worse and disable you. under the law yes a preexisting condition is compensatible--but all issues with rsd are sticky--i was just wondering if anyone out there has been in this position and what the outcome was. just to let others know out there--i was awarded all my back pay, medical and interest and from what i hear in illinois it is not likely that a commisioner will go against an arbitrators descion--however, i still want to know if or hear from anyone dealing with rsd after an injury and settling their case. thanks in advance
