Acupuncture treatment for CRPS?

wow, what a difference a couple days make--i wrote that i was sent to an accupuncturist yrs ago who wouldnt touch me and then today at my pm appt he brings it up asking if i have ever had it done. I am at the stage where I am at the limit for pain meds have taken everything and cannot go up any higher doses-have a scs and waiting for the next one. however, i get NO sleep-maybe 45 min here and there it effects everything about me he has tried every med possible to help with sleep and nothing works--so after being told years ago that i couldnt have the accupuncture i was surpdrised he mentioned it he really thinks it would help with my sleep how i dont know--i quess maybe the difference now is that i have full body rsd and like he said theres no other place left for it to spread. has anyone used this method for sleep relief--did it work. he also did not know if medicare covers it so if you could answer that one and save me a long phone call that would also be helpful--i do have a supplemental coverage. kudoos to all who have already posted things on accupuncture what an amazing site where i can go after returning home from the doctors to get more information. you are all truly wonderful and thank you especially to the senior members who have spent so much time on here for years learning all the information they have to help us all out---you AWESOME!!

Fireball, I had been a 10 on the scale for a long time, tried Physical Therapy which did not work I felt worse after wards, Aquatic Therapy which did not work due to my sensitivity and pain, after going to Acupuncture it relived a lot of pain and I would sleep a little better from the relief, I hope it works for you, I don't know where you have CRPS, it says all over, this is what I am saying about doctors neglegence, I had given up on everything and everyone, I know now what helps and doesn't with me, my friend sent me The Spoon Therory wed. which is helping me mentally understand why I feel the way I do, I am so thankful for this forum and the people on it, I pray that you also can find relief and I wish you the best.
