Niece returning to work
Remember my niece a sherriff deputy, she had a stroke will working one Sunday evening 3 months ago?
She returns to work today!!!! Full time, no restrictions. It has been a stuggle for Kris, a single parent with 3 children in the home, 2 with special needs. My niece found herself disabled, unable to work, and no income 3 months ago. My sister and husband moved into Kris's home and took care of the children and helped with the bills. Kris had surgery 1 month ago and today is doing good! She will return to her previous job. I am very proud of her. |

RE: Niece returning to work
as well you should be....Tell her we are all very proud of her
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Niece returning to work
That's Great News Bummer!! And it was a Very Good Thing Your Sister and Her Husband did by Giving Her the Support She Needed!! Family First, and it's Heartwarming to Hear such a Good Ending!!
Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |

RE: Niece returning to work
God bless her and keep her safe....it is so nice to see God's work.
God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: Niece returning to work
Good for her and everyone. Your niece knew she was strong before, now she's stronger. Glad she's returning to work we need more just like her.

RE: Niece returning to work
This story is about my niece:
Detention deputy earns Reele award from sheriff's office BY STAN FINGER The Wichita Eagle WICHITA — Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy XXX XXX has been named the eighth recipient of the Michael S. Reele Award. The award is given in recognition of a sheriff's office employee who has consistently and most notably displayed the core values of integrity, duty, ethics, attitude, leadership and service while fulfilling the mission of the sheriff's office during the preceding year. Farris, a nine-year veteran of the force, is currently assigned to the Sedgwick County Jail. She was honored earlier this month. The 2009 Sheriff's Reserve Deputy was also named, with the honor going to Reserve Deputy Toby Myers. Cadet Sgt. Christian Hood was honored as the sheriff's cadet of the year. |
