RE: Money problems/nervous breakdown
Welcome to the forum. My thoughts are prayers are with you...Red

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

ahh, thank you so much...I sure will...

Thanks!

Oh, by the way...I am in your world, I devote my day and evenings helping injured workers!! I love my job Big Grin

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family right now I am at a lost for words, sorry I can't be of more help. Have you tried asking your lawyer to get you husband an advance? Some i/c do it some don't never hurts to ask. and like pooh says tighten the belt. As we all have had to do. I thank the lord every day that so far I haven't missed a w/c check but the stress of not knowing if you are going to get one from one week to the next is a nightmare in itself.

good luck and god bless

Yep odd though, I was on here quite some time ago but only because I just wanted to help other injured workers' w/knowledge I have and now I am seeking it for us.........

It is always different...
When you are helpping another, you can distance yourself from the situation, but once you have to live it.... it feels so wrong.
I think that everyone of us on here have had to worry about money at one point or another. We just have to tighten up the belt, and stand strong.
Yhe best thing you can do at this point is to use all that knowledge you once shared with others, on your case. Good lawyer, and dont b afraid to ask for help. Lots of curches run food programs, where all you do is sign in amd wait for your turn to be called to get your bag of food. Every little bit helps! Try selling some of the higher ticket items you have, but can do without, like jewlery or expensive purses u no longer use.
I hope all works out for you.

RE: Money problems/nervous breakdown
Hi whatamess and welcome. You have been given great advise and support here. Draw on all of your experience in working in the WC system. When hubby was injured and him having the larger of the 2 incomes we cut back everything immediately. Then we were lucky enough to take out a small line of credit on our house and paid off both cars and all charges. I did have to use it to pay bills a couple of times. It knocked our payments down from $900 to $100 a month. Hubby;s attorney also helped him to aqcuire a loan on his claim. That was never to be paid back if he lost and since he won it came out of his backpay of 3 years. Exhaust all services that are there to help. Pray alot, we do. Best of luck.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.
