RE: recovery from back surgery
Limbo- It was quite ironic last night, after I posted that, my surgeon called me last evening. His ears must have been burning. He just wanted to see how I was doing and go over more info on the Dorsal Column Stimulator. I don't think he's a bad Doc, I think he's just young. He finished his Residency in 2005. Now don't get me wrong I have no discrimination agaist young doctors, but being a Surgical Technician for the last 19 years has given me the opinion that once they get knocked on their a##'s a couple of times they figure out that they aren't god, and they learn that failure is sometimes part of their jobs. Some learn this process quicker than others, and my surgeon is slowly learning this life lesson. I hear the fustration in his voice, but at least I get the impresion that he's acccepting my fusion did not work, and were moving on from there. I was just in a lot a pain yesterday and needed to vent. It must be because of the weather change, were supposed to get 3 to 6 inches of the white stuff today. Thanks for listening.
6/97--Discectomy L5-S1. 3/09--Discectomy L5-S1 (failed). 6/09--spinal fusion L5-S1. This year who knows? |
