back to work but only limited hours

OK, here's the deal. I injured my L4L5S1 the first week of May2009. My doctor is releasing me to work for the first time since my injury, beginning Feb 2010. Dr is only releasing me to do light work for only 4 hours max a day. My question is, does workmens comp cover the balance of the remaining hours that I'm not able to work, which used to be 8 hours a day. What's the deal with that??? Please help. (State of Hawaii)
