RE: how do i file taxes?
we went to a tax pro to get ours done....you can go online and file for free and they can walk you thru it.....you will most likely get earned income credit...did your wife work?
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: how do i file taxes?
Blake, instead of playing hanky/panky with the IRS, you need to get your wife to file her taxes, and get that straightened out. That is a must do. A tax pro can help. Then a tax pro will let you and your wife know on how to properly file. If your wife Spouse has to pay taxes or penalties, it might be good to just file joint, and suck it up from there. But, as said, only a person working on your taxes can provide the best information.

RE: how do i file taxes?
blake me and my wife were in a simaler situation one year where money was really tight and it would benefit us both by me filing single and head of household bc she would owe taxes and by filing that way we got more money that our family desperatley needed..so i say if money is tight do whats best for your family unless shes way behind on taxes i dought they will come looking for her or her money and maybe next year when the econemy is beter and your finacial situation is better then do what you need to do...take care

RE: how do i file taxes?
The IRS will eventually catch you. Then you could be subjected to penalties and or fines for not filing previous years. Possibly jailtime because this is Federal.
Personally,I would find a different way to get some income because the interest rate on this could be high. Do the right thing and get you a pro. 2011 Lexus Convertible |

RE: how do i file taxes?
Same happened with me. But I was separated at the time. I filed head of household, with daughter. Got earned income credit. I did file using TurboTax as well. Easy.
