hip replacement
I have been searching to get ideas on impairment ratings and MMIs. thirteen months ago I was misdiagnosed with tendonitous. Turns out it was tramatic avascular necrosis of the right hip. Three doctors, one core docompression, one total hip replacment and three months of habilitation, here I sit at the ripe old age of 40. I have been one of the more fortunate ones who has to deal with workmans comp. The folks I am dealing with, both workmans comp and my company, have been more than fourth coming with information to help me understand what I need to do. I have questioned my case nurse manager about how they can do a IR on a joint that has been replaced with one which is to give me complete mobility. She explained that there is a set rating for each of the surgeries on top of the IR to be given by the doctor. I have two more months before we are to cross that bridge. My question, to anyone who might know, what are these set ratings and/or where can I do some research to gather more information

RE: hip replacement
State information would help.

As each State has different rules to ratings.

Ratings Pre-Set, that is one I haven't heard before.

Ratings are based on limations, range of motion and such.

RE: hip replacement
YOu never get full motion with a replacement for one thing but the AMA GUides rates hip replacements in a very straight forward functional manner. It'll work out fine.
