Settlement
Hi everyone, I am in Michigan and have been here before. I had lumbar fusion of L4 thru S1 in August 09. My comp case has been disputed since 02/09 and I have a court date of 01/13/10, my lawyer called today and said that W/C insurance co wants to settle but I am not fully healed yet. Can I settle and still have W/C pay my med bills going forward or am I on my own after the settlement? I started therapy 2 weeks ago and I dont feel it is helping. Am i cutting my throat by settling or should I wait to heal as much as possible before settling? I am confused and to be honest I dont know if I ever will be back to near normal from this surgery. Help please!!

RE: Settlement
Your Question has been Asked many Times by Many on Here, and Each case Naturally is Different. The Very Best Advice I Could give is to Trust Your Attorney, and Your Own Feelings about Your Employer. I would Never Settle with Unfinished Medical Issues, but Again each Case is Different. Best of Luck!

RE: Settlement
When your in doubt about your condition, also always ask your treating doctor/surgeon what they think. Then ask your attorney. Then dig deep within side yourself, and ask yourself what is best for you. Between those 3, you will find the answer.
