Current Complaints:
The patient now presents with a chief complaint of the right foot pain with numbness, tingling, and weakness radiating proximally to the knee.
Clinical Prognosis:
The clinical prognosis for this patient has been determined as "uncertain."

RE: Finally received nerve and muscle test!
They are starting to say, your said current condition, pain and complaints are not meeting the goals of said injury to foot.

Test show possible S1 or lumbar concerns, which it is a opinion an issue that could lead further up the spine at the Cervical area portion of the spine.

You need to see a Doctor, to evaluate a neurological condition, and not a Chiroprator.

That is why it states;
The clinical prognosis for this patient has been determined as "uncertain."

STUDIES PERFORMED:
The following test were performed on the patient with the use of CADWELL SIERRA ELECTRONEURODIAGNOSTIC TESTING EQUIPMENT.
1) BILATERAL LOWER EXTREMITY MOTOR STUDIES: Right and left peroneal and tibial motor studies, including F-waves. Right and left posterior tibial H-reflex studies.
20 BILATERAL LOWER EXTREMITY SENSORY STUDIES: Right and left sural and superficial peroneal sensory studies.
30 BILATERAL LOWER EXTREMITY SOMATOSENSORY EVOKED POTENTIALS: Right and left peroneal and tibial somatosensory evoked potentials.
TEST RESULTS:
The left tibial SEP was prolonged as compared to the right.
The right peroneal motor response demonstrated a decrease in amplitude.
The right superficial peroneal response demonstrated a decrease in amplitude.
The rest of the study is within normal limits.

CONCLUSION:
tHESE FINDINGS ARE CONSISTANT WITH A LUMBOSACRAL PLEXOPATHY, A POSSIBLE S1 RADICULOPATHY, AND A RIGHT PERONEAL AXONAL NEUROPATHY.
clinical correlation is suggested.
THIS IS EVERYTHING THEY PUT IN THE REPORT, PLEASE HELP EXPLAIN, THANKS AGAIN.

RE: Finally received nerve and muscle test!
I see, YOU had an SSEP test done. That is a test usually NOT performed by an MD in spinal cord or back pain because there is a lack of studies demonstrating the validity and accuracy of the test. AN EMG/ NCV is the standard test, are very difficult to do correctly and I am not aware that any state allows chiros to do the test, only MDs and DO's.

THe limitation of as SSEP is that it is non-specific, it doesn't tell you where or why. AN EMG/ NCV does. In other words the test is good for the Dr. but not so much the patient.

RE: Finally received nerve and muscle test!
On 3-25-09 I was at work putting a Easter poster up in the display case and the right hand side display case door came off the hinges and landed right on my right big toe. About the test, two people came to my Dr.'s and they did the test, I'm not sure who they were. What questions should I ask my Dr.? Also my Dr. told me yesterday that he was going to set me up with a foot specialist, is that who I need to see? what should I expect from that? will I have to take the nerve test again? will the foot specialist give me my ratting?
Thanks again for the information, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

RE: Finally received nerve and muscle test!
I suppose a foot specialist if good for a toe injury. 8 months out there isn't much you can do about it though.

RE: Finally received nerve and muscle test!
I suggest, you heed the caution flag put up now, and also re-read my Post#2 here;

My opinion is, your case is leading into up coming, or even current problems with the work comp IC. Your expecting an Attorney to get you past this goal, or will expect that to take place. (The attorney will not be able to do this as of yet, or even in the past) Why? Your current problem, leading from a foot injury, is starting to show possible Spinal concerns relating to your current pain. This now means, before the attorney you had, or have now can do anything for you, a medical doctor needs to show or state a relation to current problems, leading to other areas such as the Spine. Without that being documented no attorney can advance your case past a foot injury.
