Hello all,
My last post I talked about getting ready for settlement. However, I had a flare up; pain in the neck, shoulders, constant spams, and loss of sleep.
The WC doc order acupuncture for shoulder and upper back pain. Has anyone had this treatment and was relief obtained? Will this flare up put a hold on possible settlement negotiations? (California) Thank all of you who responded to my previous post.

RE: acupuncture
I had acupuncture used for years until my therapist moved away just over a year ago, for knee pain relief, kidney stones, etc.

If you are uncertain that the flare-ups will continue I'd recommend holding off settling, unless you're settling with future medical.

You have to approach acupuncture with faith, an open mind, trust.

My PM Dr. does Acupuncture, PT, and Med. Regimens, but didn't Feel I was a Candidate for such. But there are many that have Benefited from this Procedure, and Many that Haven't. It Depends a lot on the Severity of the Injury, and the Individual Themselves. It's a Different Type of Pain Management, and it's Hard to come up with a Definitive Answer unless You Try!! I know this Didn't Help Much, and I Wish You My Best!!Wink
