RE: Is this part of original injury
I just noticed you were 59 years old Queenbee. The SSA must really believe you are not injured or mentally or physically to have turned you down 2x at your age and age does matter.

In less than 3 years, you will be elgible for SS.

Have you considered how much your SS will be affected by not working IF you have to wait till retirement age (62 for early retirement)?

Are you using pysch problems to get SSDI or your injury or both?

I am suprised at your age reading your past post that you were denied.

Good Luck.

Hi
Only 55 didnt realize I didnt do a birthdate on profile- I know my injuries took a toll on me but not age me. LOL
When I applied I was 52 . I think my attorney is using it since he is the one that told me of the diagnosis from the psych test/\ All he said was concentrate on how I do daily activities and not to say I can't do something unless I truly cant. He seemed to not be concerned except to be sure to notify him if I cant get to hearing due to bad weather. First time I was denied I found out they did not have my surgeons records. Second time I dont know why. I didnt have my surgeries until 5 months after second denial. I got a lawyer for the second denial and he got the hearing. I am sure I messed it up somehow .

I filled my SSDI sheet on the Internet. I took all my records to the SS office when they phoned me to come in. The woman at the SS office and I went over my records. It is your responsibilty to give them the needed records. First and foremost, you cover your own butt. Never depend on someone else; you will get burned everytime.

Even at 52 the age factor is on your side. At 55 it relaxes even more.

Read all this and look at step 5 where age becomes a factor.

RE: Is this part of original injury
I also filed my application online but I signed 8 medical release forms and dropped them off at the local SS office. They sent for all medical info. I did nothing but fill out the application. I was approved in less than 60 days. I really believe alot also has to do with who handles your appl. My husband has had nothing but problems for 4 years. He's been approved but it took 2+ years and now they keep sending him letters sayinghe owes them $$$, then nothing for about 10 months and they'll send another saying he doesn't owe anything. He had an attorney and was denied the first time. I really feel age is a factor BUT also whose hands it falls into.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

RE: Is this part of original injury
I have a question, I applied for SSI and I did all the paper work, filled out this long questionaire blah blah blah and I haven't heard back from anyone yet. The first time I applied, I did all this and they denied me fast in two months, now it has been 3 months since I applied and haven't heard anything back yet. Does this usually happen?

RE: Is this part of original injury
Probably not WC related psyche, especially if you were off work for some time when dx'd and WC created your stress, not work.

SSDI: It's very important that you provide all your medical information, inluding non work related. If people applying for SSDI have all their doctors names, addresses, phone #'s, treatments, dates seen, and future appts. in front of them, it is easy to apply online, or even over the phone. Preparation is the key to a successful outcome.

Let Go, and Let God......
