As far as an SSDI attorney getting part of your SSDI back pay, regardless of how much work he does on your claim he is only entitled to a full amount of $5300 and this is taken out of your SSDI back pay and sent on your behalf to the attorney.

I had an attorney from the start with my SSDI claim (he's the one that actually gathered all my med records and had them scanned into the computer so that they could all be sent with my application) and in the end, SSDI awarded him less than $600 in payment. The only records that my attorney was unable to collect was from my PM Dr here in TX and because I was able to request a copy from him and walk them into the SS office where they copied them and sent them via US mail to Austin within three days of my claim reaching the SSDI office, there wasn't a long delay in their decision to award me SSDI.
