Injured back at work then got in a car accident???s
I was injured in june of 09 at work, I fell of a platform ladder onto a steel beam. 1 month later i was layed off from my job. I recieved TTD after that. In august i was in a very minor car accident (5 mph) collision. can the insurance company get out of paying for my surgery. The accident was my fault i lose feeling in my legs and i couldn't feel the brake. I did not notice any more pain following the accident and x-rays did not show any more damage to my lower back either. Any help or feedback in would be greatly appreciated

We will never know until we find out if the Work Comp Insurance wishes to take a stand on the issue. If you were not hurt in the auto accident, maybe you'll be fine with the W/C Insurance.

RE: Injured back at work then got in a car accident???s
yes they can if the work injury is not the cause for the need for surgery. those issues may require medical evidence and comp court decision.
neither you nor the employer/carrier have the final authority to make that decison.
