Trust Issues With Attorney
Ohio Here

Hello Everyone,

August 08, 09, I was awarded a tentative order for 1% PPD for injury to left foot add-on (which I have yet to receive). My attorney requested reconsideration. After seeing another Dr a hearing was scheduled Sept 24, 09. I then was granted an additional 4% PPD (have not received check yet) I question this, and was told, they'd check it out and get back with me. That was last week.

Is there a logical reason why the 1% PPD from August is being held up? It should have been paid by BWC standards awhile back because it was a tenative order. Again, can't seem to get answers from my attorney.

Oh, forgot to mention, I received a TTD check June 09. I noticed on the BWC website that my attorney filed another claim for TTD, and the insurance company responded back with a comment that the check had been paid back in June. Then my attorney had to file a motion to cancel. I asked my attorney why TTD was claimed twice, and was told it was a mistake.

Ok, my friends, I am starting to wonder about my attorney. Someone talk me down. Am I making more of this then I should? I left a message expressing my desire to schedule a meeting last week, of course I didn't get a call back.

I don't think you have an Attorney problem. Sounds like their trying to information from the IC for you, and done by mail takes time. I think a little hot tub, and relax is in proper order...Big Grin

With the experience I had with my former Att. I wouldn't trust them either! I would write to the State Bar Association and let them know how you feel so at least it is on record and if they get caught, you helped them save other people from getting ripped off also.

Life is like the ocean, it can be calm one minute and the next a wave will knock you off your feet, it's up to you to get back up and take control.
