Still waiting I don't get it how in the world can that be considered an emergency hearing when it takes all that time for them to pay up are you at least getting medical assistance ? it makes me sick that there able to pull that off. |

RE: 19b
Sadly that is the way the WC system works. My pay was cut in April 2007 so this started the fight and in July they decided my injury wasn't WC anymore. All this was because my PM doc wanted to try a SCS. In Jan 08 they decided they didn't have any work for me any more and put me off work, I was lucky I had disablity thru work so this is what was paying me, but only about half what I would have been making if I was getting WC. It took til Nov for them to get all the depo's we needed for the hearing, mostly because when we called the IME doc they sent me to it would take 4 months to get a depo date with him. After that hearing it was March before they issued a ruling and almost 30 days later the employer appealed that. My lawyer was very surprised we got that heard in July and we got that answer the end of Sept. They had time to appeal this but they decide last week not to so I'm just waiting on the back pay now. Yes it is so very sad it takes so long to get this done. To me it helped to think as the whole thing as a saving account and was building money for me but it was hard to go thru. With the very low income we were able to help with some of our bills so this helped too. My insurance from work paid for my medical care and even the SCS so right now my employer owes them as well as my doctors and hosptials over $170,000. I wish you well with your fight and prayer it doesn't take as long as mine.
