RE: What was your lowest lowball offer from i/c
The IC offered me $45000 to start and made it all the way up to $110,000. I then told my lawyer to tell them to F-off. He passed it on exactly like I told him too (there was no WC magistrate around)-now they are still paying and the cumulative pay plus medical that they have paid is greater than their final offer. With economy like it is I don't know how long it will be until I can find a job so they may end up paying many times what I would have accepted if they hadn't been such asses.

I was offered 3000 didnt take it.....I did get a settlement I thought was fair.....but would give it back for pain free days and my job back
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....

I haven't received my settlement, but I would give it up if I could walk, jump, skip, go back to the job I finally felt comfortable working for and around. Play with my teenagers and my husband, that would enlighten my life right now. get on with my life! almost 7 month anniversary. WOOT date of injury 3-25-09
Life is like the ocean, it can be calm one minute and the next a wave will knock you off your feet, it's up to you to get back up and take control. |

RE: What was your lowest lowball offer from i/c
Once at mediation they offered me 1500.00.( a year ago) I told my attorney I was going to need another surgery. The insurance company said I didn't. They even tried to call my doctor while in mediation to set me up an appointment so they could be for sure. The doctor said no they couldn't make me an appointment. So I called and told the secretary my hand was hurting and I needed to make an appointment, I had one two days later. So they added a 0 to the end of the first offer. I told my attorney lets go. He said ok. Since then they have paid out the yinyang on my wrist. Plus they also had to pay me back pay when we had gone to court. I can tell you, these ICs try to get off easy. Oh my doctor had scheduled surgery a week later.
They want to settle now but with me developing arthritis in my hand (due to injury) I know I will need at least 2 surgeries down the road. |

Add -on;
Before I was offered $0.00 amount, I was verberally offered $20,000.00 which got laughed down by my attorney, who said the hearing officer would even tell them come back with a real offer. The next offer was then $0 dollars... Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes.
