No wheelchair. There was no spinal cord impingement. I feel fortunate to have my life being I crossed the median of a main hwy, ran off into the opposite ditch without hitting someone head on.

I was solo! I crossed medians and got into the ditch and hit a culbert going into a field with the cruise set to 60 mph. I seem like I "flew" forever. When I finally stopped rolling end over end, The horn was continuously blowing and "smoke" was coming from the air bag after deployment. I was the gas in the air bag but I thought the Van was on fire. I was on my side. Addrenalin kicked in and I stood up and pressed my 270 lb body out of the passenger window. I fell to the ground to get away. When my feet hit the ground, Thats when I knew my backed was screwed up. I rolled to the wood line and waited for help. The ambulance took me into town; they xrayed my lower back(lumbar and down) and missed my actual mid back problem! A month later, After fighting WC A orthopedic found my problem which was in the Thoracic area.
Anyway it is 6+ years later and I am still on WC!

So glad you were solo, I for 1 was too but often I took my son with me and thank the lord I did not that day... I drive my own personal truck, self contracted.. I had a head on collision with a 14 yard dumptruck (county plow) filled with salt-sand and he was plowing.. I guess I was over the line and we know they were too but I was only doing 23mph on inpact.. I dont remember much other then the plow in front of me then a loud bang and then laying on the seat with blood running down my hand dripping on the floor.. Then I remember talking to the guy that hit me telling me the ambulance was on there way... I am asthmetic and had him find my inhaler but to my knowledge it did not help as for I knew it was my time and could not get air.. Then I remember hearing the sirens then I woke up in hospital bed 1 month later......

I was taken to nearest hospital for mri and they found out I had 1 punctured lung, 12 broken ribs +2 floaters, hip out of socket, broken pubic bone and lower, shattered pevis Ialic crest was broken off from the SI joint (open book pelvis fracture), brain was swelling had hemotoma's (2) and torn rotor cup.. It was to much for them to deal with so I was sent down to another trama hospital and on the way down my other lung collapsed. They put in a chest tube cause my heart stopped and put in a ventalator... they put me in a colma for almost a month and heart stopped again while in surgery (12 hrs to reconstruct hip socket and pelvis.) Then got mrsa in chest tupe site put me on vanco and ended up with blood clots, they then put in a IVC filter to stop them from going to my heart and put me on heprin.. Had a reaction to heprin and was bleeding out every place possible also had hemotoma behind my bladder, rushed back into surgery again and flat lined before I was even on the table. finally things got better after that.. I have expierenced somthing I wish on nobody, and I will tell you there is a god, i did not see the light but believe I was in judgment.. I have had some very wierd things happen while under but some dont like to hear the stories of after death or near death expierences.........

All my injuries was what they were and still are, so I believe thats why I have had an over easy run with wc.. They cant really deny anything for thats all they have to do is take an exray............

To me I was not at fault but I dont have any memory due to the drugs they gave me, they called them forget medicine... State patroll told my wife we were both over the line 50/50.. Now keep in mind I'm in a coma and cant stand up for my self.. I was charged with failure to wear seat belt and driving to fast for conditions.. It was the first snow fall in 2007 and the speed limit was 45 on that highway, my speedo was still at 23 mph and thats what the little tell tale box said too.. I was found guilty for no show in court, family didnt bother to deal with it but cant blame them for it was my health was first priority.. after I was coherint I sent a letter to vilas county DA and explained the story.. You guessed it no compassion at all and was just gave some time to pay fines.........I truley beileve I came around the corner and there was 2 plow trucks side by side talking to one another.. There is no lawyer that will touch this case for there is a cap here in wi for 250,000 and my medical was 1.4 million by the time I was released from hospital... Wc would have reeped the whole thing...... My ins would not cover any medical for I used my personal truck for work and didnt have the propper clause saying I used it for work purposes....... Oh well live & learn............But here is some pics of what happened to my truck..."" OUCH "

Most people dont survive what I have gone through.. I know the good lord and my angels were watching over me...... I am back to work full time and impressed the heck out of my DR cause he wanted me just be disabled and collect ssdi. And I choose not to lay down quite yet, I have pushed and pushed to be where I am today.. Am I in pain? You bet some days extreeme and getting worse.. But I had to truley try for my self not for wc not for anyone but my self.. WC is still paying any and all medical needs and not bat an eye about doing so.. My pain levels have caught up to me now and was at a peek of my best and now slowly tapering off.. It is happening just like my surgeon said it would, I go see my surgeon on mon for the new hip pain and possable surgery.. I know I have done my best and am now ready to throw in the towel before I cant have any family life left.

It will be hard to get by without the income but we will survive.....

Last one was April 09 The IME found me Permanent and totally disabled. I was shocked because he is a WC Hoe Doctor. This was my 4th trip to him in the last 6 years. He had until this date turned down everything my Doctors ask for.

You can laugh at this BUT my Attorney was told that this Doctor had found Religion.
