Judge filed a wc claim
learned from the attorney today that my wc judge has filed a wc claim for carpal tunnel and knee injury.

The knee injury was related to use of the stairs in the dept of labor building where court is held.

This judge has been out on medical leave this summer due to a knee replacement and is now back at work.

I told the attorney maybe this will increase the judge's compassion for injured workers.

Just thought I would share.

He will probably be one of the lucky ones that gets everything approved and his ttd benefits will arrive on time.

RE: Judge filed a wc claim
This is the same judge that has caused the delays in my claim. I had a hearing and a decision was to have been made 5 days later according to Kansas law.

Still no decision in April and in May the judge and attorneys involved had a phone conference. In June the judge went out on medical leave for a knee replacement.

The judge's claim for the knee injury was denied, and the carpal tunnel injury was approved.

My attorney is really enjoying this!

It is common knowledge that the attorneys have been hoping this judge will retire.

RE: Judge filed a wc claim
This is the same judge that took 13 months to make a ruling for surgery but omitted the TTD benefits, which was finally ruled 6 months after that. Pity that she didn't have my first surgeon.
I know, I know shouldn't have this much resentment toward a judge. But for those of us who have been under her she makes the ride all the worst.
She has the WORST rating of all work comp judges in the system but they keep her on.
