Laughing..that is so funny...are you sure you want to do that. I am sure that it will come safely without your sitting by your mail box. Thank you for making me feel really good inside. Carol

Hi Queenbee..and welcome. I don't believe that I know you yet, but welcome to our online family. Alexia's game ended on Saturday past. I don't think she made that clear in the post she wrote. But never fear...I will be doing another game in a month or two and would love to have you play ...always check here because we are always doing fun things over in the "off topic" forum. This is a place to just kick of your heels and have a great time with wonderful and caring people. red(Carol)

I have to have one of your covered cake plates with the reverse painting, But we can talk about that at a later date, as now funds are getting tight as I,am saving to go to Vegas in Oct, and Iowa next month to the Tug Fest across the ole Miss, Taking the grandaughter, her friend, and my best friend and her son. It is so much fun and will be staying at my oldest sons home right on the Mississippi.

It was getting too hot out there by the mailbox came in for a lemonade refill and an umbrella. LOLLLLLLL

RE: alexia's game
Hi Tuffy, the cake plate by itself is not reverse glass painting. Reverse Glass Painting is only done where someone's food would touch the paint. For a cake dish I person wants the painting away from the food or the cake so it is on the outside. For a plate, a person wants the paint on the back side of the plate so the food does not touch. However, if you want a rose on a plate then you paint it on the back putting the last strokes first...that is reversed glass painting. I love to do it also. I just have not had a reason to buy any glass since I am down sizing and I don't have room for any more things to put in a truck to go to Oregon. We can talk about it however, when ever you are ready to do that. Carol

I love it, love it, love it, My painting was every thing I expected it to be and more, Carol you have such talent, The pictures you posted did not do it justice, it is beautifull. Now I know what the others ment. and what a surprise a second rose, which I will frame also,

I'am going to have them done by a pro as my neice Mary also does framing and has done others for me, and I really like wood frames. All I can say is WOWWW They are great and I am tickled, Thank you ever so much. I think you should have an art show when you get settled, A BIG HUG coming your way.

RE: alexia's game
Ya know what is funny, My mail carrier is the mother of one of the Nurses I worked with at the hospital, He was working Psych when I was as a tech and going to nursing school, lives in my area, then after graduating worked on our surgical floor, We rode back and forth a few times when the weather was bad, Haven't seen him sinse I left. She told me he is no longer there and has a claim as he was injured at work, a back injury( wonder of wonders) has healed and now His wife and family have moved to Florida and he is working in a large surgical hospital there. We had a nice gab fest. I told her to tell him hello and gave her my e mail address to give to him, sure hopehe responds, would like to know all the details.

Roses are yellow, violets are ( whatever rhymes with yellow ) and I'am one happy fellow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
