need advice please
as you know i had knee surgery on july13th. the doctor had to cut one muscle and sew the muscle on the other side of my knee cap so my knee cap would go back to where it is suppose to be. my question is for anyone who has had knee surgery. ehat are some things that i can do to stretch the muscle in my knee/? it feels soooooooooooooooooooooooo tight when i try to bend it. iam scared that scar tissue is going to form sence i cant bend it at a 90 degree angle yet
Do on to others as you would want them to do on to you |

RE: need advice please
I had need surgery in 2001, Sound,s like basically the same surgery I had,YES Your Knee will feel TIGHT. If you bend it a little at a time, say 10 degrees, 2 or 3 Time,s a day for the first week, then another 10 degrees (now your up to 20 degree,s) the 2nd. week the tightness will start to diminish.
ALWAY,S after doing that, Put an Ice Pack on your Knee for 20 min. It,ll hurt , but the Ice Pack will releive some of the Pain. Now for me ,it took a total of about 18 month,s to get back in shape . 6 Year,s later, I have absolutly no problem,s with the Knee at all. A Surgeon (who only does Sport,s Medicine) From the University of Michigan performed my surgery. Hey ,take it easy, relax, you,ll be fine. I take it, your going to go to PT???
