RE: Would it be wrong if
Have you been offered Voc. Rehab?

Are you fairly young?

Depending on age, you could possibly qualify for SSDI.

Before someone goes off, YES, AGE DOES MATTER especially when you have been found not disabled.

The WC Carrier will probably not talk to Cookiecrum because he/she has a Attorney.

I am fairly young yes I am only 32 soon to be 33.

RE: Would it be wrong if
Freebird...I wouldn't trust an IC, Adjuster, Assistant, etc as far as I could throw them. They record conversations and some will use anything against an IW so I don't agree that the IC is honest enough not to talk to an IW> I'm sure some are but why take the chance on saying something that gets twisted. Stay away is the best policy here.

Cookiecrum....If you call the commissioner they will ask you if you have an attorny and why you aren't speaking to them. I spoke to my Congressman and basically what he did was looked up my case and then offered to speak to my attorney since at the time I wasn't happy with him. If you are going to call the commissioner I would suggest that you tell your attorney first and why you are.

RE: Would it be wrong if
I agree with you.
I am still in the middle of an email to my attorney and I mentioned to him can't you at least tell the e/c that you will call the work comp comissioner if they don't give me my benefits by a certain date.
My brother in law once called the commisioner while he had an attorney and he got his benefits three days later. I guess the e/c doesn't like calls from the commisioner.

trying to change an atty's habits is a bit of a waste.
if it's this now it'll be something else later.
better to look around before it gets worse.

Your link there has a name of an attorney I have actually been talking to online. She gets back to me before my own attorney gets to me.

I know if I were to change attorneys that I would have to pay the old one on benefits he has secured.
Umm which so far has only been back pay for tpd.
I will give him a few more days to get back to me. Does anyone know what all is involved in changing an attorney? Like all the records he has of mine? stuff like that?

the new atty will handle it. she'll request a copy of their file.
the comp judge will handle dividing up the atty fees.
