RE: Workers Compensation Medicare setasides (WCMSA)
Freebird, I really want to thank you for all of your great information here. I have a WCMSA that I self administrate. I, too have to go to my pain management doctor once a month for my schedule II narcodics. I live in Chicago and it is a law here that the script my PM doctor writes is only good for 7 days. I must see him every month for the heavy duty drugs there is no way around it here. I pay my PM doctor according to the Illinois Work Comp Fee Schedule which instead of paying $225.00 I get discounted down to $95.27. My MSA is a structured one whereas I will get a check a year for the rest of my life and deposit it into an interest bearing account. At the end of each 12 month period I send CMS an accounting of the total dollar amount that I spent on drugs and the total on other medical expenses and sign the form. That's all that is required unless they ask for back up proof. I keep all of my drug receipts and paid doctor bills in a file and will put them away each year in case of audit. You have given every one some very useful information on this site. I don't understand why anyone would think otherwise. I wish there were more people with your knowledge willing to help others on the forums. Once again I thank you very much for all of your help and don't get upset if others want to for some reason think you did something wrong. You can't please everyone in this world.

In all honesty, I still do not have a clue of why SIL threw mud at me. I am a newbie and I am not a young kid who understands that caps are bad etc. SIL called me out for no reason and I responded. Go back and read before you judge me. Also, everyone who knows me knows my character and what I stand for also. Before you "grade me" give me a chance to at least be a bonafide bad person. Post like this here makes it easy to walk away from this forum. If you want your 4 and no more, you are well on your way to your goals. RE: Workers Compensation Medicare setasides (WCMSA)
Okay people, everyone took the time to have their say, now can we just please move on.
If I'm correct, I myself had asked for this thread on Medicare Set-Aside (MSA). I thought it would be good knowledge for all new, old, or any member wishing to just read. But, if they read arguments, then they may just pass up what they came to see and learn. Limbo / Freebird, I am sorry... Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. They are based on personal opinions, experience, or research and are "not to be taken as fact or legal advice", otherwise, always consult an attorney or a doctor. |

SIL twice accused me of basically running people down based on his "thoughts". I let it go days ago but for some reason the attack was raised again. It had not been discussed since 10-1-2009 and all at once Jayne decides to commment 7 days later. Why stir the pot Jayne a week later? 2011 Lexus Convertible |
