Back injury in North Carolina
Hello every one, this is my first post on any kind of forum so please bare with me. I ruptured a disc in my back 3 months ago at work (L3-L4 ) and when it happened I didn't want to make a big deal of it but it hurt real bad. The next thing I know is that there was 3 dept managers around me asking how I was and one of the managers drove his car into the back of the plant so he could take me to a local urgent care. Long story short I had surgery 3 weeks ago ( discectomy ) and I HOPE IT WENT WELL. I still have alot of pain and will start pt in a few days. I have a lawyer because of reading your forum and the way I was treated from my dept manager and also because right before the urgent care refered me to the spine doctor the person there who is in charge of workers comp cases took me in his office and asked me if I had a lawyer and at that time I did not. My lawyer is ok I guess allways there when I have a question but will never answer the questoin about settlement, he says every case is different. My question is how long does this whole thing go on for and what kind of settlement am I looking at.( ball park please ) I could go on and on but don't want to get any one mad at me. as you see it is 1.30 am and I am wide awake from the pain meds..( can't sleep ) by the way I am 46 years old if that means any thing.
Thanks to all and I hope to be asleep by 4am LOL..

BESAFE AND THANK YOU ...
Buddy

RE: Back injury in North Carolina
well Buddy welcome and your lawyer is right there is no way to tell yet..if the docs fully fix you and you are able to go back to work then there will be little to no settlement.....WC does not pay for pain and suffering....so its a waiting game

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Back injury in North Carolina
HI buddy8836,

Well Sir, I feel sorry for your conditions but as age grows ,the chance of diseases increases. Energy level of the body decreases as age grows more older. Back injury is bad problem and thank god that your back operation was a success . To avoid a pain take a antibiotics and take a guardian from a lawyer to what to do or not. Plan your remaining life with great enjoyment and good settlement. I pray to god for well being of yours life with happiness and joy.

Thanks
