not sure what to do
My husband has been out on work comp since June 2009. He was scheduled to follow-up with the work comp doctor on the 23rd of this month, but he was told today that they released him yesterday. Can they release a patient back to full duty if the doctor has not seen him and he was not told that he was being released? I would think that the doctor would need to actually see him before releasing...am I wrong?
Any suggestions on what we should do now? |

RE: not sure what to do
Slynn- Welcome to the best forum around. Who said that your husband was released? I would check with the doctors office and find out if the doctor did release him and how he could be released without seeing the doctor. If the doctors office says they released him ask what restriction and when he is next to see the doctor, Keep us posted.
May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |

RE: not sure what to do
mmmmmmmm sounds a bit strange...Tomorrow call the Docs office and see if he was released if so what restrictions just as tinkerbell said.....go from there...
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: not sure what to do
yes a doctor can give their opinion at any time.
most states have a dispute resolution process and have web sites that post information on changing doctors. without knowing your state i can't give you that information. |

RE: not sure what to do
What State is this in?
What was injured on him? What was being done for him medically? How often, and when was his last doctors visit? Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. They are based on personal opinions, experience, or research and are "not to be taken as fact or legal advice", otherwise, always consult an attorney or a doctor. |
