left knee surgery done
hi i just wanted to let you know that i had left knee surgery yesterday. the doctor said that my knee cap was 60 degresse(sp) out off to the left from where it was suppose to be. iam going to make sure i show my attorney the pics. he also had to cut one muscle so the knee cap would move back into place and sew the other muscle back together that was stretched. he said that sence i have had to wait so long for something to be done that my right knee needs the same thing done. i go see him 2 weeks post op and i am going to make sure he writes that in my report so wc will pay for my right knee. has any one else had knee surgery? he wants me to move my knee into a 90 degree angle in the next week but i cant even staiten it. it feels lkie iam going to tear the muscle. any info would be greatly appreciated

RE: left knee surgery done
Hi sis

I've had surgery on both knees and now need replacement surgery.
I was injured in the classroom working with a student.

It is important that after each doctor's visit that you complete paper work to obtain the doctor's notes.

What the doctor tells you at the time of your appointment and what is in his notes may be two different things.

Get a copy of the doctors notes and look for any differences, if nothing is in the notes about the need for surgery of your other knee then let the doctor know. Mistakes are made when transcribing.

Do you have a solar pack for you knee? Some solar packs are made just for the knee and they make a huge difference in recovery.

Take care

Sis,

Happy to hear you had your surgery and pray you have a speedy recovery. It is really sad that WC just cannot get it in their heads that the longer they wait to approve medical attention that more damage is being done. You are a good example of this. All it does is cause injured workers more medical problems which prevent us from returing to work or being disabled and cost them more money. The outcome is the injured worker always come out with the shaft.

I will be praying for you. Take good care for now and God Bless!
