Sparkey I understand where you are coming from.

When I was injured at wc I reported the injury after my shift ended. Nothing was done & I wasn’t sent to a doctor so I went to a doctor on my own and paid for the bill myself.

I learned from the doctor that I had a serious injury that would require surgery.
While I was at the doctor appointment work finally completed the accident report.

I went to HR and requested this not be a work injury, I asked to use my personal health insurance and use my sick leave for the time I would be out for surgery.

The HR Director refused and said my employer would get in legal trouble if I was allowed to use my personal health insurance. I was very upset and crying I did not want this to be a wc claim.

After surgery wc started playing games, I was placed at MMI with no work restrictions and my medical was closed.

I took the return to work slip to my employer and was told they had no work for me.

I continued to have medical problems and hired an attorney to re-open my claim.

I do believe if I had been allowed at use my personal health insurance (thru my husband's employer) I would be a much healthier person today and working.

I was injured 4 yrs ago and see no end to the wc drama in sight.
