In Maryland:
In the settlement process, what is my future earnings based upon?

Does my education take play in this process?

Upon completion of this settlement, what is reported the gross or net Example:

Settlement award is $100.00
Attorney fee is 20.00
The net 80.00

Will the award be $100.00 or $80.00?

RE: settlements
award will be 100 dollars as you pay your lawyer a % of what you get ...you dont report it as earnings to the IRS...the only person you have to report it to is SSDI if you are on SSDI or medicare

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile
