Question ulnar nerve surgery/benefits
Louisiana.....I will be having this surgery on the 11th of sept. My question is that I have already been released to return to work with restrictions and told I am entitled to SEB and they will be cutting my Temporary Total benefits as of the last of this month.,but in the meantime I will be having surgury on the other hand? actually ulnar nerve surgury.......will the temp totals continue considering this new thing? Both hands were diagnois with carpel tunnel and recently this left hand which I did not have carpel tunnel surgery on has started giving me this kind of problem. I was always experiencing the tingling but was not so successful with the first surgury and did not want to try the left hand and now this. Has anyone had this surjery and if so what can I expect on recovery time.

RE: ulnar nerve surgery/benefits
if your work restrictions result in lost wages comp can make disability payments based on the difference. when you are off work again for the surgery temporary total disability will restart.
recovery times vary with the type of procedure and overall patient health. generally allow 6-9 weeks to recover.

RE: ulnar nerve surgery/benefits
LOUISIANA....thanks.....I am not employed and have not been since Jan.09 at this job, they let me go due to(seperation notice)medical restrictions/unable to perform essential functions of the job so technically I am not working at all and the injury is the same as for what I was seperated from my job for. that is why I wanted to know would they continue the TTD and not start the SEB as they would have if this Pinched nerve)had not occured?
