RE: how can I fire my attorney
My guess is by a certified letter (reciept requested).

You may want to have another attorney ready to take your claim first, so you are not looking for one while you do not have one.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: how can I fire my attorney
and then if your lucky your new lawyer will take care of it for you...but make sure you arent jumping outa the frying pan into the fire

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: how can I fire my attorney
Make sure you have another Attorney who is willing to "come on Board". These two Attorney's will have to split the pay unless your original Attorney is willing to give up all rights to your settlement which I would not count on.

Unless you have a strong case, It can be difficult to get another Attorney to come on "board" and split the fees with the original Attorney.

Good Luck.

RE: how can I fire my attorney
Shock, when an attorney is fired, and a new one hired, the 2 attorney's will share portions of the attorney fee's. The first attorney will send the second attorney a detail list of expenses is all. That's about all you will ever see when this happens.

(((NOTE))) In certain States, a person wishing to Fire one attorney, and Hire another Attorney, there are work comp forms used, as the Commision in those certain States need to be notified.
