Hi and Welcome to the Forum!! You would want to Speak with Your Attorney if You have One, and if You don't You May want to Call the w/c Adjuster handling Your Claim. Your Injuries would Help to give You Better Answers, I'm not from N.J., but there are Others Here that are, and they will Probably be along Soon. The Tab Marked "State Info." at the Top of this Page May give You some Assistance also! Best of Luck, I Wish You My Best, and Have a Great Day!!

Thanks Limbo for i too havehad a discetotomy on my L5 S1 lumbar, which has damaged the nerve even more.. ive had 3 epidorals and about to get another one. I recently got another MRI done which showed that the disc has reherniated. My left leg especially my left foot is extremely numb and tingley, i cant sleep, cant sit for long or stand for more then 15min before having severe pain. This is very depressing sitting around and i need some movement in my life since it seems that i wont be able to drive a truck anymore, i want to start learning how to fix them..... Thanks a million Limbo |

RE: While u r out on WC can you go to school and will wc pay for it
Having pursued this line of thought myself some time back, I can only give you my opinion based on experience. It sounds like you are still in the early stages of medical care and I don't think that w/c will consider putting you through school while you wait for care. Also, once you have finished and reach MMI, it will depend on what rating you get on whether or not they will consider you a person in need of vocational rehab. I am in Montana, and I know that with the first rating I got, which was pretty low with a similar injury, I was denied any vocational rehab. Basically told that if I could flip burgers I was going to be ok. Like I want to be doing that at age 55!!!!!
I hope you get someone soon here that can give you a better opinion. It seems to me, and I am not expert, that you would be a prime candidate for this type of help. But as we all know on here, what seems right, and what w/c will do, are two very different things. Bye the way. Ask your surgeon or doctor to suggest this vocational rehab for you. This is what my surgeon did and that started me getting interviews at least about what type of jobs would be good for me to pursue. Apart from burger flipper at McD's |
