RE: need help
Why would medicare pick up the tab if it is over $1700.00 a year. Are you of age for SS????

RE: need help
OK, that makes sence. $1700.00 would only cover about 6 months of my meds. With a 3 level fusion, I would be concerned about needing a future surgery. If that is needed, who payes???? Not to mention, with medicare I am responcible for 20%.

Take Care

RE: need help
Sounds like a serious injury and medical treatment which has let you permanently and totally disabled. You're 46 years old; $29,000 indemnity and $1,700 yearly medical sounds very cheap. How much are they paying you now? Will these benefits end? or go on indefinitely?

RE: need help
Junior, Hi and Welcome to the Forum!! Depending on the Severity of Your Injury, Mine has Left Me Totally Disabled and I was Injured in '04, and My Claim is in Pa. If Your Injury is going to Leave You Disabled at the Age You are, they Probably want You to Look at it that You will get the $29k, and then get Your SSDI Benefits Paid Fully Monthly, so the $29k would be a Nice Nest Egg for You!! And then they will Pay $1700.00 per Year, and throw the Rest of the Care on Medicare, with You Paying the 20% Co-Pay when the $1700.00 Runs Out! God Love them if They get You to Accept that!!! You Need an Attorney that Deals in w/c, One You can Trust to keep Your Best Interests at Heart! I have Turned down Low 6 Figures so Far, because My Case and Injury is Worth Double of the Offer, and My Attorney and I know this, We didn't Fall Off the Turnip Truck Yesterday!!Rolleyes Get Someone on Your Side that will get You what You Deserve! My Very Best to You!!Wink

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled.

Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!!
