RE: I got a Hug from WC Doctor
I actually gave him a sincere hug back and kind of enjoyed it at the time but by the the time I get to my car I say hmm may be he is nice and kind of felt bad that he cant treat me the way I should be treated because of the insurance case? I send in a patient for him non WC related without telling him I referred the patient he was treated the way patients do advising him to seek a neurosurgeon help...etc.....God knows what his intentions are towards me but I am a believer!!

RE: I got a Hug from WC Doctor
Hi,
I too got a sincere hug from my WC doc....and then he and his assistant, said a prayer for me as we all joined hands. This was all the while I sat sobbing after I was told to apply for SSD, because I could no longer go back to any type of work that I was accustomed to. Then my dear WC doc (whom I'll continue to use as long as i need him) stressed to me 3 x's during that appointment... to "Get a worker's comp lawyer today!"
So, that's exactly what we did. I have never been sorry, and will always be grateful to my doctorSmile He's the greatest doc, and has the best bedside manner I've EVER seen!

RE: I got a Hug from WC Doctor
My surgeon often gives me a hug at the end of a consultation. I always take it to mean that everything will be okay in the end and that he understands my frustration. It helps. I always come away feeling like I have been heard.

RE: I got a Hug from WC Doctor
I'm just too suspicious of everyone involved in WC. I do believe these docs have ulterior motives to everything they do. Wish I could learn to trust again. Rolleyes

The system does seem to be set up to get you worried to death so that you just go away with your problems. My surgeon is not associated with w/c. In fact he has taken them on big time in my case.
