Manley2 Wrote:This group can do some amazing thing so I would like to ask for prayers for my whole family. The help we got with my step-daughters wedding was so great I hope it can also help with my other step-daughter. Without going into to many details I can say I've never wished I had an alarm system in my home but if I had the money now one would be here. Drugs can be such a terribly thing and the friends others make can be very bad. With the medical problem my wife and I have personnal protection is something I wish I didn't have to worry about.

drugs are a persons worst enemy when they abuse them ,I will keep you and wife in a prayer, hope things work for the good ,take care, be strong

RE: Family trouble
Hi Hun, Sorry I'm late getting this, but I will pray for you and your family. I agree with Jayne about the shotgun. You don't realy have to aim one, just point it in the general direction and pull the trigger. A big dog is good too....Prayers going up ....Backache

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Family trouble
I had a german shepard when we moved down here but had to get rid of her. My wife says no more big dogs until we get a fenced in back yard. Teaching her to use the 38 because without allot of practice I don't want her using a semi-auto. I do love the pucker factor when you chamber a round in the shotgun, tends to make the burglar leave a trail behind them. The smallest long gun I have right now is a 30-06. No new shotgun until WC pays me my backpay.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers, they do help so much. I try my best to return each and every one.

RE: Family trouble
I also have a 30-06. It was my roomie/ex hubby's. Have always loved that gun and you should have seen his face the first time he saw I knew how to use it, LOL! That is a priceless memory for me he told people about it for years.

Glad you are teaching the misses, just let her know that if a burglar comes in and she is SURE it's a burglar that if she points it she dam will better use it and empty it.

Hugs,
monster

RE: Family trouble
A nice little 20 gauge or a 410 would do the trick. Theres nothing worse for a man than looking down the barrel of a shotgun that has a woman standing behind it. Now that would make him pucker up.....LOL

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Family trouble
A 410 would be the best for her. She has allot more back trouble then I do and a 12 gauge would hurt her. There is a 410 pistol called the judge which would be good for her. It's been fun teacher her alittle about shooting them. I forget how poeple don't think about where the bullet could be going after it leaves the barrel.

RE: Family trouble
Honey my Hubby fantasizes about the judge. We both shot it and it kicks. You men can handle it, but even as big as I am it kicks. Give her a regular 410.....Point and pull the trigger. Or the 20 gauge is perfect our 9 year old grands can shoot one.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Family trouble
My son would have fun with a 20 gauge so that might be a good way to go. I just need to do some thinking. Luck we live in a a nice small town. If it just wasn't for this trouble going on right now I won't be worried. It been up and down. We did have the rehearsal and dinner tonight and that was great. The wedding planner still will not let us in on everything she has planned but she did hint at one part tonight, but we still can't quess what is going to happen. I do believe it is going to be a wedding we couldn't have ever done on our own and without the prayers of this group here.
