fired while on workmans comp

Hello,
I was injured at work, filed a claim with w/c and was fired about three weeks late, I live in Florda, how can they fire you when your hurt.

your only protection is if the employer is subject to the Family & Medical Leave Act.

Thank you 11174, that will probably help me, but I was told that they couldn't fire you.

they might know something the rest of us don't.
if you are you working under contract either personal or thru union there can be provisions covering termination.
Florida is an at will state and doesn't require a reason for separation either from employee or employer.
