still wanting to know
i didnt have surgery ,dr said i had to learn to live with pain.i saw him for 1 1/2 yrs he led me to beleive at some point he was going to do surgery then it all changed .he was friendly with case nurse .as soon as he said i had to live with pain ,she wanted an imperiment evaluation done and i think i just gave up. i know you guys are having hard time getting this .i lived in fog for 10 mos.kept telling dr about problem of no feeling in face and other head problems .he said it was cranial nerve 9 or 10 .he never did anything for me .they saw one day i was having trouble with speech ,sent to er for stroke check it was ok ,i got to point that i didnt know what to do . i didnt have anyone to take care of this but myself .i still feel stupid about things because i cant remember alot of stuff .i think im angry now and want justice for way i have been treated.im rambling now i know but ive been going through this for almost three years with no help except pain meds and thats what they want.live on meds and leave them alone.i live in la and still want to be fixed .i have 04 mri of complete spine that shows i had no problems except c56 ,from a personal acc.,had surgery on it and everything was fine.i only want this taken care of because it interferes with job, having to look down and use arm im in so much pain i cant stand it.thats why i want to know why i didnt have choice about surgery.i could understand if it were my fault but it wasnt.

RE: still wanting to know
I don't know if I can help. I don't know what your injury is or how it happened. BUT it appears your Dr. has possibly left you hanging. Do you have an attorney, if not I would find a WC attorney immediately and try to straighten this out. Have you gotten a second opinion on surgery and what type of surgery are you talking about. Maybe it will make you worse. My spine specialist mentioned surgery on my back and neck and then 2 years later after a bad shoulder surgery felt anything done to my spine would make me worse. I'd like to help if I can or at lease lend you an ear but I am a little confused. It sounds likeyou were just left out to hang and in that case you should consult an attorney AND get a second opinion.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

Symptoms so serious should not be tossed aside. I would definitely get a second opinion . Have your primary care physician set you up with a neurologist. was the Dr you were seeing a comp Dr ?
